"A chance to explore the meaning of life"
What is Alpha?
The Alpha Course is an introduction to the Christian faith that runs in churches all over the UK. It's a great opportunity to ask the "Big Questions" of life in an informal and friendly atmosphere. It runs a twice a year at Woking URC.
What Happens?
There are ten weekly sessions. Each begins with a meal together, followed by watching a DVD talk on a particular theme. Discussion then takes place in small groups on what has been presented.
Who attends?
The Alpha course is open to anyone, with or without a faith. Some who attend may be Christians who wish to "refresh" their knowledge, for others it may all be completely new.
What's the cost?
There's no particular cost involved, we suggest a small donation for the meal that takes place at each session.
Where does it happen?
During the redevelopment of our church premises the Alpha Course will take place in a member's home.
