Leadership

Minister - Revd Lucy Brierley

MinisterLucy studied theology at Oxford University before training for ministry in the United Reformed Church. She was ordained and inducted as Minister of Woking URC in 2005.

Lucy is married to Justin. They are both parents to Noah, Grace and Jeremy.

Youth and Family Worker - Gavin Moss

Gavin became Woking URC's youthworker in September 2009. He comes from Ipswich originally and trained for youth ministry via Oasis college in London. He is married to Kate.

Church Administrator - Tiny Colleer

Tiny (pronounced "Teeny") originally comes from Holland but has spent many years in England. In her spare time she volunteers as a Street Angel. She is in the Church Office Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and amongst her duties she manages the use of the entire premises by Church and Community Organisations.

Church Secretary - Keith Bradley

The Church Secretary, who is always a serving Elder, has the responsibility for general administration and legal issues within the Church. As a Trustee of Woking URC Charity he is the contact with the Charity Commission. Keith retired from his 'day job' in May 2011 and is one of the three Governors from Woking elected to serve Ashford & St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust. He is married to Margaret who is the Church's Traidcraft Representative.

Pastoral Secretary - Vivien Gerhold

VivienVivien coordinates pastoral needs within the Church. She is an Elder of the Church, and is married to Norman. Vivien is also an Assembly Accredited Lay Preacher within the URC, leading worship regularly in United Reformed and Methodist Churches; and is a member of the Chaplaincy Visitors Team at St Peter's Hospital.

 

 



Eldership:

There are 15 men and women elected as Elders responsible for the pastoral care of members and assisting in the running of the Church.
