Conditions of Hiring Woking URC Church Premises

1. Applications for lettings should be made to the Church Letting Officer on the hiring form or by eamil. On receipt of the form and the relevant payment a receipt will be issued.

2. Ocassional bookings will be paid one week in advance. Regular bookings will be invoiced quarterly in arrears at the end of March, June , September and December.

3. A discrestionary deposit maybe charged fully refundable if the premises are left in a satisfactory condition.

4. If a booking is cancelled with seven days of the date booked, the Hirer will remain liable for the full hire charges.

5. The Church reserves the right, without giving reason, to refuse or accept any booking.

6. The Church in exceptional circumstances such as a funeral reserves the right to a cancel a booking and would refund the letting charge or adjust the quarterly bill accordingly.

7. Car parking is only available after 7.00pm except for leaders of hiring organisations who should display the relevent permit.

8. Unless otherwise agreed, the charges will be in accordance with a the scale of charges in force at the time.

9. Hirers on leaving must ensure the premises are properly secured with all doors and windows locked and lights extinguished. All rooms,furniture, fittings and other contents must be left in a clean and tidy state. All rubbish must be removed and any damage or breakages reported ot the letting officer. The liability for such damage will lie with the hirer who will forfeit all or part of any deposit held and/or be invoiced for any said damamges.

10. When the hirer intends to use any part of the buildings for a public entertainment, the Letting Officer must be informed at the time of application on the relevant form. The Hirer will be responsible for complying with the Local Authority or any other relevant organsations.

11. The Church may on request give permission for wine, ciderand beer to be served but not spirits. Sale of alcohol on the premises is not permitted.

12. Bookings are on the strict understanding that Woking URC shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or accident sustained by those using the premises in the course of a letting.

13. For reasons of perosnal security and to guard against theft, all hirers must keep the outside doors to the premises locked during occupancy. Visitors or caller requiring access should use the bell provided on the main hall doors.

14. Keys for a hiring are to be collected from the letting officer and returned on the day of hiring.
