Children & Youth
Sunday Morning Groups
Everyone joins in the first part of the Sunday morning service before children and young people go to their own activity groups.

On occasions we hold an 'All-age worship' where the service is a little shorter and the children & youth remain in church throughout (and often are involved in delivering part's of the service).

Tots Together (0-4 years)
Meets in the church lounge as a transitional group preparing the children for the Junior Church activities.
The Tots Together programme aims to provide play and toys for toddlers and babies, whilst including developmental activities for the 2 and 3 year olds. All activities are age/stage appropriate and the children can take part in as much or as little as the wish.

Junior Church (5-10 years)
Children aged 5 to 10 years old join together in the hall, divided into two age-appropriate groups – Smarties and Junior Heroes.
There’s singing, crafts, drama, reading and writing and much more on offer as we follow the same teaching theme as the rest of the congregation.

Youth Programme (11+)
URC Youth covers all those aged 11 – 25, and at Woking URC we provide a variety of opportunities for those within this age range to gather and develop friendships, to explore the Christian Faith, and encounter God for themselves.
Our Sunday morning groups, for those under 18, meet weekly during the service and often following the same themes and topics as the rest of the congregation. All are warmly welcomed.

We actively encourage and support engagement with events and opportunities provided by the URC at a denominational and regional Wessex Synod level.

Ages 11 – 14 & 15 – 17 years old
In addition to the programmes on Sunday mornings, we offer an evening session on the 1st and 3rd Sundays for those aged under 18 from 5:30 – 7:30, which always includes a meal for everyone!
This group has a varied programme including exploring the Bible, film nights, challenges, games nights and trips out. Get in touch to find out about the programme this term and what’s coming up

18 – 25 years old
We have a growing programme to support those in the 18 – 25 age group, with a designated Student Link supporting those continuing study at university or through other further education or training approaches. We recognise many are starting out in work and their careers and we offer support and encourage young adults in this stage of their lives.
We host a meal at the end of each term to welcome students back and help them reconnect with others. A time to catch up, maintain friendships and develop new connections. We also help facilitate a mixed and flexible scheme of social events and church activities, encouraging engagement and offering opportunities.

Holiday Fun
We hold a themed club during the holidays for school-aged children.

It's a mix of Games, Worship, Music, Cooking and generally having fun with friends.
